1st Birthday Cake Smash Photos

1st Birthday cake smash sessions are so much fun! We get to start with some adorable traditional portraits, allowing babies to show off their ability to stand up, and their fun loving personalities. When it’s time to switch over to the cake smash set, we bring out the cake, and let them have a ball while we capture it all. This little cutie had a great time, and made it easy for us to capture some fantastic images to celebrate his first birthday! His mom wanted a gold and black “Mr. One-derful” set for his cake smash. I just love how it all came together!

1st Birthday Cake Smash Session

We had so much fun celebrating this little girl’s 1st birthday with a Valentine’s Day themed cake smash photo session at the studio! We begin every cake smash session with some adorable, less messy portraits before we bring out the good stuff. I loved her in the bright colored polka dot set with her sweater to match it perfectly, but I also loved the gold and cream set with her birthday romper. Such great choices! She was all smiles, and showed off her ability to be adorable in every photo.

1st Birthday Cake Smash Photography Session

This adorable little girl was in the studio for her newborn session, and her sitter session (here). We love being able to watch her grow! She loves Tinkerbell, and we wanted to celebrate that during her 1st Birthday session, so we created a Tinkerbell themed cake smash set for her. She was a little unsure what to think of the cake, just kind of dipping her fingers in the frosting at first. What a cutie!

Little Sitter Photography Session

This little lady came in for her newborn session last fall, and her parents signed her up for the baby plan. I got to see her again for her 6 month/sitter session, and will see her for her 1st birthday session! She was such a little ham. and was so happy the whole time. We were able to do multiple backdrop/outfit changes, and she just kept smiling away. (more…)
