Albany NY Engagement Session- Leslie and Tom

I knew when I met up with Leslie and Tom that we would work well together! They seemed like such a great couple, and I was looking forward to photographing them. We had scheduled our engagement session for the end of February. At the time, we had no idea how cold of a Winter we were about to get. On the day of our session, it was miraculously above 20 degrees, and sunny. It felt like a heat wave compared to what we had been experiencing. These two braved that 20 degree weather, and walked around Albany NY with me. Good thing, because we had such beautiful light!

Downtown Albany NY Engagement Session

I met up with this adorable couple in downtown Albany, NY for their engagement session. We spent some time before hand talking about outfit choices, and deciding upon the perfect location for the two of them. Downtown Albany is absolutely beautiful! The architecture is pretty amazing, and we knew that was the perfect spot for them. We had a wonderful time, and got some great photos to document this important time in their lives!

Saratoga Engagement Session- Crystal and Kevin

I met up with Crystal over the Summer, when she booked her wedding with me. We went over details, talked about her and Kevin, and the children they share. It was at this time that I learned that they have a daughter that is the same age as my daughter, has the same first name, same middle name, and is also the middle child. Talk about coincidence!

The three of us met up on a late Summer evening for their engagement session out at the Saratoga Battlefield. It was a perfect night, not too chilly, and not too warm either. It happened to be a full moon, and it was beautiful the way it sparkled in the sky.

We definitely had some fun… I don’t know how to do things any other way 🙂

Schenectady NY Engagement Session | Nicole and Tom

This lovely couple were in a wedding that I photographed last year at the Franklin Plaza, found here: Courtney and John’s Wedding so I was super excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding at the Glen Sanders Mansion!

We met up for their engagement session at a small park in Niskayuna, NY that the two of them go to every now and then for a stroll. They arrived looking quite dapper, so I jumped at the chance to get some dramatic shots. Just look at them! Can I add that I love that Tom’s shirt and tie match my branding colors 🙂

Saratoga Battlefield Engagement – Dianna and Keith

When I first met up with Dianna at Panera Bread in Albany, I just loved her energy. I don’t think she stopped smiling the entire time we chatted about her wedding day. Even though I hadn’t met him yet, it was clear that she was certainly head over heels for Keith. As we were wrapping up our meeting, Dianna let me know that not only was she very impressed with my work, but she was also impressed with me…kinda the best compliment you can give a photographer during a wedding consultation. I knew the two of us were going to get along fantastically!

We met up on a warm evening in June at the Saratoga Battlefield in Saratoga Springs, NY. The wind was a bit pesky, but we just worked with it; making sure Dianna’s hair was facing the right direction, and out of Keith’s eyes. I swear these two were like professional models in disguise or something, because they were amazing to photograph. As soon as I posed them, they would just fall into a natural laugh, or look at each other in the cutest way. Seriously adorable!

Engagement Session at Thacher Park

This beautiful couple contacted me last year to photograph their wedding this July. I knew after meeting with them that we would work very well together. That was confirmed for me when we met up to do their engagement session. We headed over to the beautiful Thacher Park. It was a warm summer evening, and the sun was getting ready to set. We started out in an open field, and then headed down the Indian Ladder Trail to get some awesome shots under the waterfall. These two did an awesome job, and were so photogenic! Engagement Session in Downtown Albany NY

I got to meet up with this great couple in downtown Albany NY for a fun engagement session last weekend. I love downtown Albany and all of the beautiful architecture, so I was thrilled when they asked to use this as their location. It had been rainy for days, and we weren’t sure if the weather was going to hold out for our session. It ended up being a bit overcast, but there wasn’t a single raindrop! In fact, the clouds made for very interesting shots of the sky. (more…)

Country Engagement Session

Last week I had the opportunity to do a country engagement session for a couple whose wedding I will be photographing this fall. They chose a location that I had never been to before, and I am so glad she did. What a great location! There were barns, open fields, a small bridge, and a really cool looking green garage door. We had some fun, got some great shots, and even ran into a giant Ox. This couple is so great to be around, and I had a wonderful time photographing them. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this fall! (more…)
